Past Races That You've Won
Once in a while I go through my past races that I've won to see if there is anything I'm missing now (especially after a few losses). As I review my races that I've hit well in my methods are pretty much the same now. As FLT once said consistency is key which makes me think that there are many more races that should be passed than played.
Anyone else take a look at your passed wins for review?

Hi Terry
I sure do Big surprise right !!! Pace and Cap has seem hundreds of races done by me in review. I look back on almost every bet. I look at loses to see if I missed something I look at wins to see if maybe there is a good teaching / learning lesson Anyway I spend a lot of time going over old races Bill |

I was revisiting the Fulcrum horse. Seems I've had my share of stinkers coming through when they shouldn't have. It's amazing when you set a pace, that should hold up, and some horse that should be on a gurney comes flying by. It's funny how these horses have a flash of brilliance then the next race are ready for retirement
All in all I'm glad there is always uncertainty as it keeps you sharp (although I wouldn't mind a little more certainty now and again).

true
Yes its true its very hard to accurately pick a fulcrum and projected por
every time. But just think suppose you have a race and you have a low odds horse who is ranked first but you see it has never been able to win against a 111 or faster POR You have set the fulcrum correct and you see you have a horse with a great chance to run a 110 because its a early horse there are other horses in the race that can press against a 111 This is a advantage that you have and you can try to beat the low odds horse The fulcrum is just another tool to use Bill |

I like to go back as well. But if I don't see what I missed (if there was anything to miss) after a few minutes, I just move on. Otherwise I will drive my self nuts.

I agree that consistency is good practice, but one thing I think should be at the top of the consistent practices is to re-evaluate if you are consistently losing.
I refuse to continue to consistently play a losing game. Like Doc said, the cure for losing is winning. My idea for achieving the winning cure is to stop losing. Find out why and fix it. Test, test, test.

Would that be why the Hat always preached, look at your winners and find out what you did right and not at your losers? Ray |

I forget where I read it, most likely in HC Magic, (paraphrase) after you lose you go back and make adjustments, then after you lose again you make some more adjustment and pretty soon you able to predict the past with accuracy.
