Pace Makes the Race
Have been rereading this book and forgot how good it was.Pizzolla has some interesting thoughts on how to use the Fulcrum with the TPR numbers.

last line
Hi Jeff
2 questions In Pace Makes The Race do they say to use the last line for pace lines unless there is a very strong excuse not to ? When you have your top 4 or 5 TPR numbers do you always include the # 1 EP horse in your final readouts Thanks Bill |

Bill,Hambleton says run a TPR number for every horse using just the last paceline but that you might want to use another line to rate the horse.Pizzolla on the other hand will use the next line if a excuse exists.
As far as the top EP horse is concerned if I dont think he is a contender then I wont use him. |
