Hey Bill..

Thanks for putting up the race...

Some trainers, especially Pletcher are blessed with talented runners..

I haven't looked at this race in depth, but looking at the weight spread, it looks like the favorite will be at a disadvantage since he will be giving away ay least 8 lbs to most of the other entrants...

Weights are not part of the methodology, but weights can stop a locomotive over a distance of ground...

Here are my notes

H1 Shaler - 30/1 ML has just 1 MS win No Line

H2 Ruler of love - Line 3. This one shows 4 plus races in stakes races.

H3 Say Ow - Line 1, No stakes plus races. California
shipper, has never raced on dirt .

H4 Betweenhereandcool Line 1 Grade 2 +

H5 Departing- Line 2 Grade 3 winner. 3 plus races in stakes/graded.

H6 Mi Sto Divertendo - 50/1 Not in this lifetime

H7 Ledokol - 50/1 Has NO WINS !

H8 Stratocruiser- Nice horse but seems below this level. The last line The Long Branch at MTH got it its best ever 82 SR, This is the
problem horse. No stakes or graded wins

H9 Overanalyze - Line 3 Grade 1 Arkansas Derby winner Ran
terrible in the triple crown races

750 K race and not too much competition...what a shame...

Race favorite is so over rated and will be compromise by the weight spread, has to give away 8 lbs and 4 lbs to Departing who comes off the best last race prep.

Departing closed off the slow pace set by Oxbow. I believe that this is the race the connections have been aiming for.

I cannot make heads or tails of the rest of the field.

Departing is my choice at 2 to 1 or higher..

Overanalyze is the horse that Thorograph gave a huge number from the Remsem against Normandy Invasion. A lot of people questioned the figure given by Jerry Brown in that particular race...they give a negative 2 for that race.

Good skills..
