Good race. It looks like the 3 gets the lead here but has trouble holding on if not loose. He might get loose today. There is a fast tandem with the 2, 4, and 7 which goes 22.3 46 1:09.3 The 2 in that race likes to sit 2nd early and may do so unless the 8 (sprinter edges him out). The 8 is falling further behind so I don't think that will happen.

The 2 is my choice to win.

I like last fractions that are competitive and horses that have won at the distance and track and the claiming pricing already so I will go with the #4. We shall see if he can repeat.

The 3 looks like the strongest early, fighting through 47.1 and 111.0 at BHP. The 7 was on the lead at a similar pace last out but that was the only time this horse has been close to the lead so I won't count on that today. I also like the sprinter stretching out. Hat talked about looking for sprinters who hold or close position/lengths in sprints and who are 3-5 lengths faster than routers at the 6f mark. It's a little trickier with these 6.5f races at SA but in my experience this ones times are favorable. I'll take the 8 to win over the 3.
