MTH race 6 NW2-L 8.5 Turf

There is not much going on today as far as stakes or handicap races
So I went back up to MTH for race 6. Its a CL 20 N2-l

Every horse has just a Maiden win so I'm looking for horses that have run a plus race against winners and is not a chronic 1- for

Here are my lines
Maybe the crowd will make a mistake. and I will get a good odds horse

H1 No line 30/1 ML No plus races on the turf
H2 This is a tricky one, Horse did nothing in FLA and DEL
but shows 2 plus turf lines back home in jersey at MTH and Med.
No line ??
H3 Line 1 a (+) race against open 20 claimers
H4 Line 1 +race on the turf but 1-19 !
H5 No line This one is tricky because it has 5 plus races
in 7 starts but they were on dirt
H6 No line 30/1 ML another horse with plus races but
as a sprinter 1-16 !
H7 Line 1 Shows 2 plus turf races last race was against open 20
H8 Rare Earth Love that group ! with Elvis aboard Probably will be the favorite less than 2/1 with 4 plus turf lines Line 1

Miss

No Joy today
I got the 5/2 I wanted on Rare Earth # 8
Things looked good in the stretch but the 8 faded badly
The 5 made a turf late kick. They have a good horse

We move on ..

Hi Bill, my name is Matt.

Could you please refresh my memory on what makes a race a plus or minus?
Is that in the pace line manual?

Plus races Plus within a zero and zero races

Hi Matt

There is lots of good information in the pace line manual
The + (+) and 0 notations come from first the yellow manual and
then in the Red Match Up manual.

There are also many post on pace and cap about plus, plus within a zero
and zero pace lines

Click the google site search on the pace and cap header ( upper left corner)
this is a great feature.

Just a quick lesson
A plus race is an race were the horse finished in the money
either a win a place or a show finish gets a plus
This horse almost always runs a plus race. In rdss2 all plus races are color coded

A plus within a zero (+) is any race that does not qualify as a plus race +
but is not a zero race. A good example of a plus within a zero race (+)
is a horse that is first or second in the first two fractions but fades
a bit in the stretch This is often a strong form factor that can you a good price winner. It looks something like this

Another example of a (+) race is when the horse is first second or third
in the 2nd fraction and stretch a race like this shows the horse was involved and competitive against the pace of the race

Another (+) race is a horse who runs evenly against a very fast POR
like this line

Size: 3.8 KB

A zero O race is any race that is not a plus + or plus within a zero race (+)

Be careful of horses that run high speed ratings in zero races
check the pace of the race against what the plus horses have been running against

You should not use a zero race for a pace line
