Contenders
I have recently completed a 1000 race study on getting the win contenders in the race.
1. )Playable races are non Maiden, no Turf , 3yr. olds and up with a minimum of 3 North American running lines for each horse, AND at least 8 betting interest in each race. 2. ) Only races run at 5.5f, 6f, 1mile. mile and 70 yds. , and 8.5 f were used since these are the most common distances run at the tracks I play. 963 winners were ranked in the top 5 on one of these 3 ratings: CSR- Profit Line or Prime Power. 919 wins had at least two of the 3 ratings. 96.3 % and 91.9% for contenders is outstanding and I know of nothing that will beat it.

And how do you suppose to bet 5 horses per race. I guess $2 win bets would be alright. ($10 per race)

Thanks
Thanks Lt1 and Mitch.
Check mark , No one said You Have to bet every contender, that is why you run your contenders thru RDSS to separate them. I get most races down to 3 win contenders with a 75-80% hit rate . How and when I make a bet is my choice. I will say that I am very selective as to which races I put my money on. The stats I posted are only the starting point. What you or anyone does with them is up to each individual. My purpose is and was to help others get a starting point . Rmath |

These 5 horses are to just a starting point to get you out of the gate. 5 horses are strictly to get you out of the starting gate. Sartin only recommended 5 for record keeping purposes and to get the place horse among your 5 if playing the EX.
Separating the 5 can be a daunting task for many but it really comes down to using the tools within RDSS and analyzing the contenders PP's for final decisions. Most experienced RDSS users find it very easy to get it down to 3 real contenders. Its a learning process to understand the many tools within the program. Bet small CheckMark as there is a steep learning curve to Sartin material. RDSS was never designed nor is it a black box procedure. But I will admit that with proper contenders & pace lines you'll surpass many out there today. Mitch44 |

Great work Rich and a big thank you man!
Would you happen to have the breakdown by factor for those? top 5 PP, CSR, PL? Richie
