Nugget of Wisdom from Howard Sartin

In going over the Cramer-Olmsted Report, I found this piece of wisdom Dr. Sartin gave to Mark Cramer in an interview. I thought it bears repeating.

The whole purpose of the methodology is to WIN and teach others to win. It should be obvious when viewing the plethora of non-profitable winning favorites that BASIC HANDICAPPING CONCEPTS have been over-proliferated. After all, they're conventional wisdom, orthodox, and mainstream.

Don't disagrre Barb but at times there is plenty of value to be found in the conventional, othodox, and mainstream. It happens when the "crowd" gets hung up on overvaluing something to a ridiculous degree, be it a publicity horse, a top jock, a top trainer, an off the charts maiden debut, etc.

I can agree with that Lou. I've seen that happening lot lately at Mountaineer with all the money going to where one particular jock is irregardless of the horse he's on. Good money to be had there.
