Mountaineer 11-14 9th Race

9th Race Mountaineer………….
Sorry I didn't get this up before the race but it caught me completely by surprise after most of tonight's races being low priced favorites with the exception of the 5th race which I managed to miss.

MNR1114 9 6.0 D CL 3+F $24,800 CP=$30,000 RC=78 119 lbs TMPAR=112.71 10:20PM
BOTTOM LINE -- BETTING LINE

HIDE# PNcNAME Ld SR BAL LS TIE ODDS TRKDISTS M/L DAYS AGE

1 1 FINAN1 81 5 21.3 8-5 MTH 6.0D 3/1 51 4 84 3

3 5 FAVOR4 80 6 20.8 9-5 AP 6.0D 9/2 40 4 77 3

4 8 PIERS3 76 5 17.0 5-2 WO 6.0D 12/1 31 5 77 2

5 9 SET T3 76 7 16.3 3-1 ELP 6.0D 7/2 22 5 78 7

2 3 TIGRE3 75 7 14.3 7-2 PEN 6.0D 4/1 32 5 84 8

Here the 8 is third tier and the 9 is fourth tier. From here I check three other numbers to make my selection. The are Entropy, Acceleration, and Deceleration. Below is the Accel-Decel picks.

I wasn't able to get the summary sheet here so I listed the raw numbers below. I don't use the ranking since they aren't accurate.
Using the hard numbers the 8 leads with a 55.2 Acceleration and 93.5 Deceleration number. The 8 had a 2 ranking Entropy. Again using the hard numbers the 9 is second with a rating of 54.9 and 92.5.

RESULTS
Race 9 Mountaineer
Win 8 Paid $89.60 to Win and $33.40 to Place
Place 9 Paid 5.60
Show 2 Paid $11.60

8-9 EXACTA PAID $452.60
8-9-2 Trifecta paid $6935 (In my enlightened state the 2 was one of my hides)
My bet $15 Win $5 Place 8
8-9 Box Exacta $10
Trifecta 8-9-1 $3

And here I was about to complain to my good friend David about the low priced horses coming in at Mountaineer. Now I can only thank him for the recommendation.

Thanks for the help Bill. Not just for the screen shot. I mean all the help. I keep re-reading the Follow-Ups so I don't get off track as I did when I decided that hiding the top 3 energy horses at Hawthorne was a valid way to handle that track. The proper way to handle it is to pay a lot of attention to tiers 3 and 4 and look for valid corrollarys that will support an Overlay sitting in those tiers.
In this race the 1 horse seems to have stopped running at the half which helped in getting this type of result.
This is the highest priced horse I have ever picked successfully. I may frame the screen shots!

Here is a screen shot of the BL/BL in the 9th Race at Mountaineer on 11/14.
I finally got the size down to an acceptable level which would enable me to attach the file.
