Lil Bro,Thanks for all of the help to get me back using the racing form and using the match up.I hit my first 5 races but then I got a little cocky and not listening to you and use patience.I learned from that and will now keep on track.Jeff

i cant resist this) Raise surely gets the lead over Royal but......looses ground badly both in the 1st and 2d call, Vesak at first looks to slow except..when you see that the 2 Es are quiters and the 6 is gaining at both both beaten lengths and postition at the 2d call)))
Too much fun huh! |

Is there a way to print out a hard copy of these posts. Currently when I try it the longer width posts don't print the words on the far right. Its just easier on my eyes to read print outs vrs looking at the computer screen.
Thanks. |

You have to select each file and then you "print" them. When you print them, a dialog box will give you the print options. Check off selections. You need to have a full working version of Acrobat or If you choose Microsoft, the Microsoft Document Imaging Format should be one of your printer options. another way that works for me is to right click the screen and hit print preview; then in the "shrink to fit" box play with the magnification until you can see the entire screen width and then print the pages or the entire post.

Thanks for the info.
Pace less races how does the match up handle this ? . I also see many races where a horse who only raced on the lead 1 time 8 races ago gets the lead. Other than a horse who almost always gets the lead ,how do you determine the Pace setter? Is it the horse who gets the lead most often, or do you look at the velocity of the horses 1rst fraction ? |

PACE-LESS RACE
The following is an example illustrating the process used to project the pace in a pace-less race. Once we project the pace, the horses will be matched against this pace to decide if they are contenders. Find the fastest race at today's distance and use the race as the projected pace of today's race. Remember, we will not use the beaten lengths to identify the projected pace. All of the horses are matched to this pace. Horses that can't match the pace are not contenders. |

Lot's of study material
Thanks for that post, Mr. Bradshaw, and another addition to the MatchUP 2 appendix/addendum/supplementary section in my newly created reference/special notes section at the back of the book.

I guess I'm losing my mind matching lines, but I don't see a race attached?
Maybe my browser has failed me? Quote:
