PRX-Nov 16
Weather: Sunny 58 Track: Fast
31 pre-race scratches 1 Trainer scratch 4 Vet. scratches 26 Steward scratches, causing 3 of the first 4 races to be 4 horse fields. I find it hard to believe the trainers are that bad at finding correct conditions in which to run their horses. With a fast track, what would be the reason for such a high amount of steward scratches. With FL soon to come to a close, I am looking for a different track to play for the winter. I looked at a couple of days of races from the first of the year (2013) and saw fairly large fields but then downloaded past performances for today and handicapped the first 6 races, before they had listed late scratches. I haven't made a bet or continued any more handicapping on such a poor card. Ray |

The horses are sick. I'll find the story for you. I think they should have just canceled the card.

Matt
Thanks Matt
Look at the winner of Race 5 Check out that last line It looks like the horse just did not want to run but they put it in the race Its weird to see a horse run so unbalance but evenly as far as beaten lengths |

Thanks for the link. I went to the Parx website yesterday and they don't have a story about it. Last press they put out was Sept.xx when Will Take Charge won the PA Derby. Sure doesn't seem like they care much about the bettors. I left horseracing after the 4th race as the 6th race had also been decimated down to 5 horses. Went back to playing some poker online. Guess I'll wait a couple of weeks before going back to Prx. Ray |

problems at Parx
Its really a shame. Parx racing is usually so good at this time of year.
My feelings for the trainers involved and to the horses that all get back to good health http://www.drf.com/news/parx-racing-...ne-herpesvirus Good Skill |

PARX QUARANTINE UPDATE: Tests on a runner from one of the three quarantined barns came back negative last night, therefore the Dept. Of Agriculture has released this barn from quarantine and they will be allowed to train and enter beginning today, Saturday 11/30. Two more barns to clear before the quarantine is officially over at Parx.

Update
Parx Racing
PARX QUARANTINE UPDATE: The second of three barns was released from quarantine Tuesday, just after training. Tomorrow blood will be drawn on the 30 horses in the final barn. We are hopeful they will all be negative and we should have the results by late Tuesday, the 10th. We're very close to an end to the Parx Quarantine!
