Thoromation - The Multiplier ??

I was wondering if there is anyone on this board that can explain what the function of the "Multiplier" is and how it works in Thoromation.

hello Bill
I am not sure but thanks to many helpful members I
have a thoromation program EXDC
I loaded a race that was 8 furlongs I entered 5 contenders 4
of them were from route lines the 5th was a sprinter stretching
out

When I loaded the race and thoromation asked me Kenitic generator
Y- N I said yes The screen with multiplier
appeared. I pushed 1 and the sprinters name showed up
with these numbers 46.4 113.4 139.5
the sprinters pace line fractions were 22.4 47.0 59.1 and 112.1
The program asked me Is this horse a true contender? If so re enter
using new distance, times and paceline beaten lengths
My guess is the multiplier is showing the user what a sprinter's
projected numbers are in a route and telling the user what to adjust the paceline to

Thank
Bill

If memory serves (dubious), you can only enter one multiplier horse at a time. And I think you have to convert the number to time in 100's of a second even though everything else in in 1/5's of a second.

I'm not sure if that helps or adds to the confusion. Heh.

I'll betcha Tom remembers though.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

I guess the "Multiplier" would be best put to use in Thoromation in a race where you have to use mixed pacelines.

Thoromation

Bill, I use Thoromation IIA, which is loaded by EXDCX. The program only asks, at the start, to load kinetic generator, yes or no, and omni-ject, yes or no. Then the only thing is have to choose is automatic, alternate equa-just for the possible 3 adjustments. So I guess in this program what you are talking about is already built into the program.

Thoromation Multiplier

The Multiplier can be uses as an alternative to the Projector. Usually
the Mutiplier slows down times more for sprinters in route races than
the Auto-Projector does. The best way to describe how it works is to
have a route race (8.5 Furlongs) for example and put some horses with
sprint lines in. After you are done entering pacelines DO NOT auto-
project. The next menu should have an item for Multiplier. Select this
and it will give you suggested times to put in for your sprinters
using the same beaten lengths. Naturally you will have to re-enter
your sprinters to the suggested times the Multiplier gave you.

Whether the Auto-Projector or Multiplier is better may vary from track
to track. You may also find that it may not be worth the additional
effort since the Auto-Projector is easier to use.
