That's what Pizzolla said in his rant released last night. Sounded to me like he might be questioning his own Gulfstream figs as being a bit too low.

`JimG a fig is just that a fig and I`ll go with what I use which is BLAM. I have other supporting evidence that I use that backs those up. It`s still not a race I will get involved with as I have seen other races that catch my eye.

Value investment!

Well since this game is about value investing I will be taking a stab at vyjack.I cannot look pass this colt first round closing odds of 45-1.With go go aboard I can visualize vyjack running the same style that won him the Gotham. Gomez will keep this charge in the clear down the back stretch and will make one big sweeping move. Down the stretch vyjack will look like he just dropped in at the quarter pole.......ok maybe exaggerating a bit.

Order of finish

Vyjack

revolutionary

Normandy invasion

Verrazano

Have a great derby day all!!

Success to all,

Success to all,
I like your picks and am sure they will be in my mix as well along with a couple of others. Agree with Trotman that it is not a good race to seriously bet. The undercard races are likely better. I'll make a small bet since it is the Derby, betting 3to5 longshots to win and playing underneath in exactas with more logical horses. The rain adds another unknown to an already confusing (at least for me) race.

Best of luck to all.

Jim

Great participation!!!

There are over 5,500 views on this one thread; it is a shame that the Kentucky Derby only happens once in a year...It was great to see so much interests, comments, and different insights from many different posters.

Congratulations to Parakeet for nabbing that HUGE longshot in the Oaks. You zoomed in on the correct OTE horse. A huge acknowledgement to Bill V. and Ted and others who also narrowed the race to this contender.

Success to all of your wagers in the Derby and enjoy the race....
