Hey Rich- Big field in this one...
I looked at the 1, 7 and 12 as early. The 7 comes out of FPLR, leading by a presured 1/2 length at 1C then fighting 2C to SC. Still hung in there for a close finish too against 22.1 44.4. The 1 faded against a 23.1 1C...out The 12 fought and faded against a 22.3 45.4. Has also run faster early but I feel the 7 will be too much to handle. I'll take the 14 to run OTE for 2nd , but not to catch the 7... |

It appears that there will be quite a bit of early pace in the race but:
#12, Duck Trail: has 5F early speed and should be the speed of the race #1, #7 and #16 will be close and have 1st run. #7, Danish Spirit: really like his last race (one of three very nice ones in the race) but I don't see how he works out a better trip today -- he can stalk but there are better pace and late runners My Choices: #16, Zip it Nance: speed against much better. Can sit a nice stalking trip and control the race --- or, given its class, just control it from the get go. #14, Saluting Stormye: very nice effort going 7F and figures to get a nice setup off the cutback. Should be very tough, assuming the race has moves in it. my bomb: #6, Shy Lover: HUGE effort two back breaking its maiden; decent effort last out. This is my price horse. I'm expecting 15-20:1 on this one Last edited by tfm; 09-09-2011 at 01:47 PM. |

You certainly seem to have a handle on the matchup, Mike. Time after time it seems you're on the ball.
Personally, I could never "get" it. My hat is off to you for your skill, perserverance and consistency. :>) |
