159th Queen's Plate Today @Woodbine
The oldest race in Canada goes today, and I will be at the lake enjoying the water, and tuning in to watch on TV.
This will be a HOT one, as the humidex will be at +44 degrees in Toronto today. I do hope all the horses survive this 10 furlong Classic. I landed on Wonder Gadot, as she adds blinkers +, and picks up Johnny V + The Fillies in Canada can dominate the Boys lately ie. Holy Helena, and I look for Wonder Gadot to do the same. Neepawa will be charging late, so do include in your exotics. Hholy Helena runs in the Dance Smartly Stakes two races before the plate, and is my BEST BET of the day! Do not forget to have Maple Syrup, a Tim Hortons Coffee, Poutine, a shot of Crown Royal, and raise a cold Molson Canadian Beer to William Shatner (Captain Kirk) tomorrow, as we celebrate CANADA DAY on July 1st. Happy Punting and stay hydrated! Jon |

Thanks Jon
I am looking forward to watching the race from Del Mar It seems like the fillies win this race every year, They do get a 5-pound weight advantage 126 lbs for the colts and 121 for the fillies I went to Wikipedia its not as often as it seems Here are about the last 30 winners t= fillies |

Lots of inside speed (2-3-4), it looks to me, with the 3 going 24.2. The 10 and 16 are drawn outside of all this and have only run their races from inside the 5th gate position. They could be compromised around the first turn.
I agree that the two fillies (7 and 11), both of whom can press, can win this race. In two head to head races the 7 beat the 11 both times. Hoping the odds allow a decent return. Neepauw, the 14, can close if the upfront types fail. And if the 3 can shake loose up front, you might get a nice exotics surprise. Good luck. |

9/5 on Wonder Gadot
Well, she was the choice, and I was hoping for 3-1.
A win is a win. So I will take it. Thanks for your thoughts folks! Happy Punting Jon |
