Great stuff Bill. I genuinely enjoyed it.
(I was waiting for someone to throw rocks at my line selection )

In reference to Bill Lyster's making columns and calling the race by position and BLs, click on this link:
http://paceandcap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9406
and go a bit further down to the thread.... see if it helps.

Also,....

Another thing that jumped out at me about the #16 horse other than what Bill pointed out was that in the race 336 days ago, the hourse was a 2 yo and in its last race it was now a 3+ yo.

For someone who is not as well grounded in the esoteric things of horse racing, I know enough that 2 yo and 3+ yo are worlds apart. That last race points to a horse that is in condition and is not the same horse as it was when it was a 2 yo.

I will leave any further insights to be provided by those who know a lot more about age differences and how they run than I do.

Jim

Thank You

Hi Jim

I want to thank you for the You Call The Race post

It has helped me. I find its the best way for me to get a good feel for the
match up. I used it yesterday with a 7 horse going two turns at Parx
at short odds. Sure enough the 5 horse made it impossible for the 7 to get over
and get the lead it needed. I passed the race and that is a win.

If the 7 got the early lead it would have been tough to catch

Thanks for pointing out this Sartin Methodology excersise.
