Just closing this issue for now.
The person was using Windows 7 64 bit, but having a problem with simply viewing All Tracks in the Data Centre (thus could not Download much less Convert data files.) Yet, a database copied from another computer works fine, as does all race analysis aspects of the software. I can think of no Windows 7 64 aspects which would cause this one, localized, simple problem, therefore I believe it has nothing to do with Windows 7 64 bit. Not sure what else, but not that. RDSS has been reported to run just fine (and even better - far less crashes) on Windows 7 64 bit. Ted

FWIW, while the issue of WHY this occurs in RDSS V0.99.2 on Windows 7 64 bit is still unknown, the original poster of this problem has reported that on the same computer, same Win7 64 bit, this is no longer a problem when using RDSS 2.0 (Beta 1).
I presume that the underlying platform I used to develop the V 2.0 software is more friendly (somehow ) to Win7 64 bit. At least, a happy outcome. Ted
