Longshot score

Bob, the longshot play is any horse whose PL or PP rating is above 5 and it has a VDC and a CSR rating of 5 or lower.
I look at the top 5 PL or PP as my preliminary win contenders, they win 90 to 92 % of all races at most tracks.
Using VDC and CSR together I get another 6-8 % .

Nice play on that long shot. Was wondering why you would use the last line on #3. It makes it rank higher in VDC but is a two turn race. The second race back still ranks top 5 VDC but is the same distance structure.

Pook , the program picked line one and line two was on a good track.
I checked both lines and the VDC stayed the same, ( that is he got a VDC rating of 5 or lower) which made him a LS play

I also had this #3, but as inside speed on a speed favoring surface. the appeal was the 30-1 0dds though. Doubt i woulda played it at 10-1
pls note also it was from post 1, IV 1.4 wheras post 2,3 IV< 0.6. Doubt it woulda done as well if #2 not scratched.
