Win Therapy Revisted
Just completed re-reading the Win Therapy Manual (1985) in the library. What struck me as frightening, is how many of the old games (habits) have come home again; Wolf was wrong - you can go home again - believe it was Wolf.
They take over unless I'm vigilante. It seems the old games are so familiar, and so comfortable that I have not completely let them go. Acknowledging them, I believe, is a a first step to harnessing them. Each time I make one of these statements I'm reminded of how a friend of mine (a therapist) would answer me; "Chris, self knowledge is not enough to overcome these personal habits" (games) and he may have been right, but I've never know ignorance to be ally; it may be bliss for some, but at the mutual windows, it's a disaster. Above all, the manual is great read! Regards, Chris |
