If you want to "learn" how to pick pacelines, just go to the library here and read the "Paceline Manual", pages 17, 18 & 19, plus the examples that follow.
If you want to see how those guidelines work, read my reviews of the races posted in the "Matcher's Forum" and look at the screen shots of the ENERGY program I posted. Sorry, I don't use RDSS or any commercial software, just my own, but I have been writing a review of the race every week for a couple of months and using and old Sartin ENERGY program as a tool to show how this paceline selection process works. I hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

Jim,
Here are the lines you picked in this race (Val4 mode). Good job - the only change I would make is to use a more recent line for the sprinter #4. You can try lines 1,3,4,5,6 - they all put this horse in 3rd tier, and a qualifier given its likelihood to go for the lead. Not sure I would qualify it to win - untested in a route. But perhaps for in the money. Given the morning line odds on the #1 and #7, I may have passed. Result was: 7-4-2. Winner paid $5.20. Exacta $26.40 Ted
