Hi Bill. A couple of questions. Why did you bet the 7. Is it because he had the best LPR? You say you bet the 8 because he had the second best LPR, but isn't the 6 better?

Also, what is X?

Thanks

PS the BLBL screen wasn't up yet when I posted this. So I assume you bet the 7 because he is ranked number 1 BLBL? And you bet the 8 because of LPR? It still looks like the 6 is ranked higher in LPR.

Thanks again

Hi Steve

Thanks for asking about the race
I bet the 7 as my first bet as it was the better bet -In my opinion
over the 2. From for tier 3 and 4 I went with the 8
over the 5 as i figured the five to quit and I was looking other than early.
About the LPR ?
Yes the 6 was ranked better 2-3 but now with the real cool
tprel screen I can see that the 6 is better 83.5 to 84.4
only .9 better. Since both horses show only a wire to wire
win I figured the 6 would be too far behind the 8 early
maybe thats why the 8 was over 2 points better on BLBL
line score - For me to bet a tier 5 horse its got to show more
in FX

FX or x as I wrote is factor X . factor X is a very powerful
readout It is the first and third fraction and I was looking for that horse
that was up close but had that good finish

Bill,

One thing I know for sure, if you have the right horses in the program the winner will almost always be in the top 3 SPN as were your first three finishers.

Factor X started out being 1st and 3rd fractions and later became weighted with other factors mixed in as a proprietary formula to make it more predictive in routes.

I wonder if this is still the case with RDSS

Actually, FX is still ( F1 + F3 ) / 2 (i.e. the average of F1 and F3). Check out that calculation on the RDSS Velocity screen (or in Val or Spec velocity screens).

Lucky FX

I am so lucky. Richie calls at least twice a day
just to say hi . He knows I'm stuck at work and It gets lonely
on the road, we always end up talking about races .
What Mr Bradshaw and Richie are teaching in the match up
helps me in my own way
When I told him about this race he asked
Did the winner come from other than early?
Yes Rich they were 5 across in the strech

It never hit me till I started watching races like they do
how often that readout would help
I said to myself "Bill think about it
FX 1st and 3rd fraction up there with a kick "

Its all starting to happen!!!

Not so much lucky FX, as it is Lucky Bill with a friend like Richie.

A person with friends is a person that has great wealth that at times go unrecognized.
