Trainer Switches on RDSS
I'm new to RDSS and just getting my feet wet. Are you able to see trainer switches in the PPs? I can see the jockeys under the "Trips" heading, but am not seeing anything noted races with previous trainers. So I'm guessing the answer to my question is probably "no," but I wanted to check for sure.
Thanks! |

Hey Derrick, and welcome! A switch of Trainer at any point in the PPs is not shown in RDSS, sorry. We do get the Trainer id data from TrackMaster, and it could be a data point just like Jockey each race is currently (thus highlighting a switch). But classically, trainers and jockeys and breeding were never an impactful set of factors in the Sartin Methodology (in the category of 'too much information'), and no one ever leaned on me hard enough to display it.
It doesn't hurt to display the trainer for each race outing. I'll add it to the list while not promising a date for it. Ted

Thanks Ted! I appreciate it. Fortunately that's an easily checked stat elsewhere (say in Bris's free PPs), but it would be nice to see if there's been a negative Tr switch 2 or 3 races back.
