Speed and Pace Symposium - Las Vegas October 18-20

.
I have been invited to present at the Speed and Pace Symposium in Las Vegas October 18-20th, representing the Modern Sartin Methodology. I will be sharing the stage with some luminaries and personalities of the modern handicapping era and will do my best to explain what Howard Sartin and his teachers created, what we're doing today, and how it helps grow an individual's game - AND grow the sport of horse racing, one educated enthusiast at a time.

Here is their website: www.speedandpacesymposium.com (phone 214 425-2750). There you'll find the current list of presenters and their biographies - including some well known individuals such as Dave Schwartz, George Kaywood, Cary Fotias, Ed Bain, John Pricci, Frank DiTondo, Bob Pitlak, Craig Peterson, Jeff Dunn, Dave Seigel, Pres. TrackMaster - also the agenda and registration details.

It's not cheap, but if you have not already concluded that the Sartin Methodology is all you need to master and profit in the sport and business of horse race betting, then this is probably a great opportunity to sample (some of) the field of what's available to the serious person.

FWIW, I sent a bio and they used some of it - it's not exactly what I wrote, but it'll do

Shoeless I agree 100% and Bill V would be a terrific bench for sure. Again my mind might get me into trouble but I have to say what I have to say. This is a stacked deck if I ever saw, this might be old time Reno instead of Vegas. I am not going to sugar coat or pat Ted on the back because "He Did It" carried on when others choose to dismiss. The collection of handicappers here should never take a back seat to anyone on anyother site because we have never stopped learning, where they still search for the easy Black Box. This site and it's members is top drawer and kudo's to you all.

Press Release - Speed and Pace Symposium

This game of horse racing and horse race handicapping is forever changing. Therefore, your success will come from you having access to information the general public does not have, does not know or does not use on a consistent basis. Today's handicapping takes additional information, additional knowledge and even some expert guidance.

So what you need is a place where you can glean such information, knowledge and guidance. But where do you go to get it? Well, we have the answer: What you need is to attend The Speed and Pace Symposium, taking place in Las Vegas, October 18th-20th. This is the premier event for today's handicapper. This three-day convention style event is where some of the top handicappers, turf writers, software developers and handicapping personalities are coming together to help educate and inform today's horse player.

And don't let the name of the event fool you. They will be discussing many more aspects of this handicapping game. Topics like:
- Their favorite handicapping angles
- Trainers and trainer patterns
- Finding wager value
- Exotic wagering strategies
- Class handicapping
- Trip handicapping
- Handicapping with computers
- Handicapping with smart-phones and iPads
- And much, much more!

There will be something for everyone regardless of current skill level -- from the novice to the expert, from the pencil and paper type of player to the computer whiz, from the weekend warrior to the person who wants to immerse themselves further into the game. The Speed and Pace Symposium promises to be the event that no handicapper would want to miss.

Learn more about the event at: www.speedandpacesymposium.com

This Symposium still looks like a go, with an updated roster (see Post #1 above). I'll be presenting on the Modern Sartin Methodology and RDSS, doing some public handicapping I guess, and also trying to learn a thing or two from some of the others.

If you dig deep enough, you'll find Howard Sartin's foundational teaching and inspiration, or association behind MANY of the presenters listed, if I'm not mistaken.

A reminder, it takes place at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, October 18-20.

The Symposium begins Thursday evening and runs through Saturday. I plan to arrive Tuesday (staying at the South Point Hotel) so should have all of Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday free. I would love to meet up with any Las Vegas or area Pace and Cap members while I'm there, even if you have no interest in attending the Symposium.

If there is enough interest, perhaps we could organize a Sartin Methodology Seminar on Sunday October 21, somewhere in Las Vegas. If anyone has ideas for a venue, just write me.

Ted

Event Cancelled

FWIW, this symposium event has been cancelled. From my perspective, they just left it too late in their promotions. Not that I was expecting many (any) people from here to be attending.

I'll just have to wait for another opportunity to get together with folks in Las Vegas.
