Fps
When calculating FPS, would there be any advantage/disadvantage to calculating the FPS velocity numbers when using hundredths of a second as opposed to fifths?

More precisely calculating FPS would be more beneficial, BUT it would only be minimally beneficial... like, fractionally more beneficial.

I agree, .10th second precision is plenty good enough. Especially since segmental times for non-leaders are estimates anyway, based on chart callers beaten length observations ('was that beaten 4.0 beaten lengths, or 4.25 lengths' etc).
At least using RDSS or other Sartin tools, and rounding hundredth seconds up or down to the nearest 10th (thus only 5/100th inaccuracy max), leading to compounded ratings then to weighted Line Scores, and betting on 2 horses in concert with value offered at bet-time - given this, the relative inaccuracy of using 10th vs 100th seems vanishingly unimportant, and where it would appear as visual information - unnecessary extra info for the eye. To me. Ted
