![]() The 3 races that I posted projected paces for are self explanatory if the races are looked at and as you see looking at the result charts my projections were anything but too fast ok? I can put em up next weekend, the following one etc etc and they will be spot on plain and simple. Not because of any great talent/ability on my part but because the darn horse and paceline are starting you right in the puss! Doesn't get much easier than that. The difference in these races is very simple. I will say this one more time: In these harder to find races the projected pace HAPPENS to be taken from an on the lead runner who HAPPENS to have projected the pace within the past 30-35 days thereby eliminating the mental stress involved with the questions that come from dealing with layoffs, other than the last line used etc etc I did not circumvent or ignore horses who could have been used to project from because they didnt do it in their last line or within 30 days. Again I did not. They simply did not exist in these races. If folks think they did then bless them but their and my ideas of pace projection are very different. It took me scanning 5 tracks in their entirety to find three races total that fit my posted guidelines. All I was hoping for in starting this thread was that a weekend matcher could pop on the computer early Saturday morning come to the thread and find maybe 4-5 guys who had put up one or two of these type races. he(she) would know they are there and if they chose to could go and grab pps to work the race. The Matchup at least when done Hat's way is very exhausting mentally after a series of races(at least for me). These races eliminate stress starting with the first step. I'm gonna tell you something right now. IF Ted finds a way to program where it can FIND these races at a keystroke I will be a very HAPPY matcher. I'll do these easy ones first then if any energy left go to the harder ones. Wanna know why I bailed yesterday out of the Hollywood Grade 1 I posted up? They scratched the #1 horse. Wanna know the reason I originally posted the race? Yup the 1 horse. If you need another clue read this thread's opening post again and look Projecting pace is VERY different from finding paces a horse has won against ok? 2 completely different animals imho Wishing everyone the best as I am off to the races and gardening today. |

Let me tell you guys something...."I've been losing the last couple of weeks"...Why?.....I strayed away what has been successful for me...I was intrigued with a poster that started a thread on looking at a races e/l graph..It was something completely new to me and I needed to know...after a couple of days, I thought I had a handle on it (HA)..I played a race one nite at Mountaineer...using the e/l graph I hit a $71 horse....WOW.....I found It...You know what happens next...loser after loser...First it was the best EPR horse , then it was the best LPR, then it was the best COMBINED horse..you get the story... So now comes sat and Richie puts up the Hollywood Stakes Grass race. All he gave us was the PP's, I went back to just matching and waahoo a $14 winner..Then it hit me on what I was doing wrong.... Matchers have this e/l graph already..its in their head after looking at the whole race !! I still want to learn more about this subject, but until then.. I'll stick to my success. One more thing , if you are weary, tired, worrying, distracted, or simply not focused on horse racing...take the day off...theres plenty more days ahead of you ![]() thxs mike

Please note the thread title and then the words i have put in bold. Let the Masters words guide you and not one of his pupils who seems to me to have lost his marbles.

It bothers me because it is not what Jim taught Richie. It bothers me becuase it is not what i have been taught by Richie. It bothers me because it is not accurate. If you want to learn the Jim Bradshaws Match Up concepts ignore what is being proposed here in this thread and read everything thread in Hat Check, read the Match Up manual and listen to the seminar tapes as they are accurate. Then practice and learn from your mistakes - You will reap the rewards from HARD graft.
