Use whatever works for you and Pace handicapping is not simplistic

Pace got faster, horse had a tougher time coping with it so the energy distribution got EARLIER independent of position. This one was meeting faster the last three and telling us, BY ENERGY DISTRIBUTION it was having a harder time coping with it.

it sure is
: plug in several race lines and have the PROGRAM tell you what the horse is doing. ANALYSIS after calculations rather than laboring and debating what pace line to put in. HORSES talk through their pace responses and they have to be looked at in relation to the pace and to each other within the last several to see the form cycle.

Not sure where your coming from Tim

What i see on Line 1 is 22.4 (two ticks faster) 45.2 ( 5+ ticks faster) and horse that couldn't cope with that Pace

OTher extreme...I actually bet this one last Friday.....NO pace pressure last and went WIRE TO WIRE sustained whereas it would be positional EARLY ala Brohamer but today it would not get that option and the ONE picked up the win on the front

You are not Pace handicapping Tim, you are just selecting lines and following the programs Energy readouts and if that's what you want to do, it's fine by me

I have been pace handicapping since the 70's
FINDING the pace and comparing them. I just let the computer help me find similar lines quicker than any eyeball and the computer picks out form cycles that simple comparisons would never catch.

The epiphany was to forget everything but the calculated pace line values. The thin slicing of racing.

Tim

Pace is a rate of movement

What is the Energy readout you use, it's not a rate of movement is it???
