screen 5 in Spec is one of the best representations of fraction to fraction comparisons. Using the incremental decel screen and early/late screens aides in understanding which ones are too late to get up.

i thought
the principle difference between these programs is the dependence upon deceleration for its fundamental model by the latter, and energies varigated by the match-up in the former. energy, i believe, was the big move away from velocity, although it performed much as did its predecessor, synergismII (the finest velocity program i have ever used, by far), by creating an internal variant and equalizing the horses to it, but using energy percentages to determine that variant.
kgen followed energy, and based its numbers on an hypothetically derived deceleration. this derivation, i mildly surmise, was related to the energy model, but employed formulae for deceleration not found in the latter. kgen and thoromation and entropy are, what?, the fifth stage in the evolution of handicapping? and require an effort on the part of the handicapper to redefine his understanding of a horse-race. actually, the match-up is the analytical father of this stage of the sartin programmatic, because, as the Hat defines it, you're forced to adjust the energy depletions of the various principals without an "objective" number to base it on. in some sense, thoromation is what happens when you write a program that uses UXR as its foundation. i do not believe you will ever use these programs effectively if you fail to predicate your use of them on the deceleration concept. tlt Last edited by thelyingthief; 04-15-2007 at 07:27 PM. |

you seems to be right in your analysis. Pirco was a business enterprise, and as such the need to develop new products had to be continuosly mantained, in order to raise interest in this tough business. Started as velocity concept it evolved, as you mentioned, to a deceleration one. Energy, Kgen, Entropy, Thoro all make use of deceleration concept. I'm a Syn buff, and I agree with your statement that there isn't better software for velocity handicapping. I have use them all, including Val and Spec, but I'm still going back to the one that I understand , and that is SYN. Handicapping, for me is to process informations in an orderly manner, same way all the time, and most of all, a need for an intuitive approach is a must. We can use any of Sartin's programs, but if we are not able to choose the right paceline, they will not optimally perform as well. I can go on, but is late. Pino |

so I would think that the it was Doc's first thoughts that
In Energy The energizer the muv horse and Paragon A readouts were getting the lower odds winners while the longer price horses were coming from the ones that ran in a way that the KGEN readouts were showing. That is more even deceration. I never understood the Kgen and fractals readouts till I did some races with thoromation To really make the programs after Energy effective the chaos math did the trick.
