Thanks Mitch. As we both know, after conducting numerous surveys, that the results of these 54 races are generally what we see most times. Like Doc always said what happens in a 20 race cycle will happen in 100 races,1000 races etc. Yes there will be some shifting in the pcts[usually 2-3% range] but not enough to worry about. His wagercapping approach will put you on the higher priced horses in 2nd thru 4th tiers.

Another wagering plan by teaching member Vic Palermo can be found in FU#70 page 62. Those who use Thoromation might want to review FU 54 pg 51. It shows the results of my spot play form where horses with 3xxxs won 8 and horses with 2xxxs won 5 for a total of 13/20 65%. Horses with 1 x won 3 races while horses with 0 xs won 4 races. Doc points out how the form can be used for profit.

Hi Tim,

I think that spot play FU 54 p 51 is seriously flawed. There are 3 screens that you'll tally the x's...and here's where the problem is: The final Thoromation screen is just the same as the first screen that comes up when you clicked the Pre-Play screen,so the tally of x's will be wrongfully double-counted.

You maybe right Ray but that's what Doc put out so only he and maybe the Hat would have know why it was done like that. I only pointed it out so those who are using the program might want to test it out to see if it's still viable today. It work pretty well back in the day. Like anything else in the Methodology things evolve and the reality of racing has changed from what it was when the program first was released.

I went back and reread the Docs' comment on the form. It was introduced at the 1995 New Jersey seminar[I was at it] to help folks who were having problems with which adjustment to use. Glen Connolly was teacher who gave the details on how to use it. It was also repeated in Las Vegas. Doc also stated that the purpose was to encourage users to bet with more confidence on races where contenders had 2 or 3xs in the boxes. He said those using the form were having success so I guess that's why the form was designed as it was.
