Wow, this race has a lot to offer. if the favourite #11 win kudos but the odds will likely be lower than 3/2. I am going to take a stance and hope my mind eye is correct.
Pace: 24.2 - 49.2 - 113.7 OTE Contenders 1-3-6-10-11 1 - last four races competitive 2 - slow - out 3 - competitive with this group 4 - up in class - slow - out 5 - new surface - out 6 - speed, if left alone can steal 7 - up in class - out 8 - speed if fire will compromise #6 chance 9 - up in class - slow - out 10 - I've look at him over and over. At first glance I said he is out. I believe this horse is rounding back into form. Last out is a toss sloppy track, two back love the 110.5 (2.5 beaten length) and mile 135. Race 5-10 competitive, but the preverbal question is why JR is on him today? I know looking at jockey is not matchup principal - just a hunch. 11 - major contender hands down. I would single but I am sure we will not get 3/2 for a single bet. This is why I am adding #10 on my win ticket. 12 - up in class - slow - out Win: 3 - 10 |

GP 7th
6 and 8 are the earlies with a projected pace of 46 and change. Liked it better with the 12 in, but I'm still going OTE...
I only see two runners that have won or run close against today's pace, the 10 and the 11. Those are my final two contenders but for the contest I will take the 10. |

Thanks
Thanks for the race cigar and Pook
Here is my thinking. I guess I kind of used some "voodoo" I too get the 11 strong But I figured it this way. The two Earlys 6 and 8 would jut cancel each other out so I looked Other Than Early The 11 is rated best but ... Now this is where I matched up I figured the pace of its race was slow and it closed big time at 8.5 f today the pace will be fast.. My fulcrum horse was the 7 with about a 47.3 not 50 the two earlys made me think if the 11 runs like it did in line 1 it will be too far back at only today's 1 mile ddistance I got this next idea from the tandem manual Not that i used the tandem method but Doc writes about horses that win and come right back Most likely the connections will use the same winning formula. I figured even with the top Jockey The 11 would wait and make its late kick but today it would be too much traffic and too little time because it was only a mile race. agaonst a much faster pace too. I should have pointed this out before the race .. This is why I HATE contest.. I hate to go against nice people, ' Last edited by Bill V.; 02-16-2016 at 07:49 PM. |
