EMD race

Thanks for posting this Pete.

I agree with you about multiple earlies.

I see the 1, 2, 4, and 9 as early. The 1, 2, and 4 need open lengths to win. The only horse to survive the early group is the 9. This horse can win from the 2nd or 3rd position and can win against a 21.4.

S type horses are the 3, 7, 8, and 10. The 7 and 8 are too slow. The 10 shows big position moves. The 10 will run from far back positionally. I'll leave the 3 and 10 in the mix.

This leaves me with the 9, 3, and 10. The 9 should be in front of the 3 who will be in front of the 10.

The 9 is my choice to win.

Hi Tim, thanks for posting your thoughts. I saw this one VERY similar to you.

I will end up taking the 3 over the 10. Even thought the 9 can win from 3rd, I feel it may get caught up in that early scuffle leaving the 3 and 10 in a better position today to pounce and win. The 3 should be in front of the 10 positionally and is my top choice.

Should be fun to watch...

#1 is scratched

#1 is scrateched which definitely softens the pace. After reviewing the race, I will take the 3 as my best OTE and I will take the 5 as my preferred early runner. It comes out of the tandem with the 1 and won't have to deal with that one today.

Interesting the way this one played out as I never expected the 3 to be fighting for the early lead. The 5 outlasted the other speed but I never even considered the eventual OTE winner #6.
