Hello Pktruckdriver,

You seem to be taking a shotgun approach.
If I may make a suggestion............Just try to apply the basic Sartin Method
i.e once you have 4-5 contenders from your pacelines (best of last 3 or 4 that are comparable to
todays race. This is a guideline not an absolute) pick 2 horses to win
only. forget about exotic wagering. Eliminate the low odds favorite, i.e. 2/1
or less, and go with the 2 horses that you like that offer better value, say 5/2
or better. Start out with sprints 5 -6.5f (not 7f), look at the E/L for the early
horse(s). In sprints the horse(s) that are projected to the 2nd call (4F) are
usually, good wagers. Look at it this way...the horses that are up there at the 2nd call have completed 3/4 of the race and have a good shot of winning or being ITM. If you think the low odds horse will hit the board you can always pass the race. Oh yes and keep records.
Excuse me if you may already know or have been advised of this previously.

Regards,

Ernie

Oh no , please I listen to everyone, and the more some people say the same thing over and over, the more one begins to put it in play and memorizes it. Your comments and suggestions are always welcome and appreciated, thanks.

Happy 4th

Good morning Patrick.

I was going to ask you why you bet so many if you are trying to use the methodology. Ernie said it all before me. Two win bets and keep records, and pass low odds races -anything less than 5/2. Even if you win you will lose money.

Have a good day at Indiana

Hey Barb

I was not wagering on all those, just putting up the horses in the order I was getting them, top horses down to the 4th and 5th horse. That way I could see if my horses was too far down in the lower position , thus telling me I need to find out why, hope that makes sense.

But after last nights play, not actual bets, I may very well not want to make an actual bet tonight, as I got my head handed to me.

Please understand that I am aware of the suggested betting, like you said , the top 3 horses and then bet only 2 of them if the odds were high enough for some value, otherwise pass, and exotic that I suggested for the 4th were only for that particular day, say 4-5 pick 3 bets , that would be about 40.00 bucks for the night, not really alot of money to play for the night, but it does give one the exictement of truly being interested in the outcome of the race, and who knows maybe pay for dinner, the 30.00 Prime Rib/ Seafood buffet, an my weekend hotel deal I got online from Priceline.com a room from a 3 star hotel for 23.00 a night, for 4 nights, total 137.00 all wknd, when normal rates at hotel are 99.00 a night, awesome deal, so I ws going to try continiuing that luck at the track tonight, CAN YOU BLAME FOR THAT???

Not yelling, okay

Again thank you Barb

Patrick
