Congrats to both you and Rich. Staying with the program is the hardest part.

I finally joined a gym at the local college because I haven't felt like walking or anything else in105°. I have a loooong way to go. Thanks for the inspiration, now I'll add the perspiration.

Afraid my wife would object to the benefits Rich is enjoying in his walks.

So I am into my lifestyle change about a month. Feeling better,eating better, exercising etc.

3 days ago I run into this older buck (80 years old I come to find out) who I see often on my fast walking in the park. He looks great and I always see him moving his arms and moving pretty darn good man.

That morning we stop and talk. He tells me all about nutrition and it's importance. Then he tells me I am looking and moving better than when he first saw me a month ago. He asked what I am doing for exercise.

I tell him about my 3.2 mile walk around the perimeter of the park back to my house and that I feel good when I accomplish it.

He smiles real nice at me then pauses for a second. Then he blurts out:
"You only go around once?"

Floored me.

OK the last 3 days I have come back late afternoon each day for a second helping man. Sore and hurting but I did it.

Then I will see the old buck cruising by like Jack La Lane or something! God love him.

yes, it is so amazing to see the change in my son Bill. Now he has me working out in the fitness center, and he's giving me advice on what to eat.
Talk about a role reversal!
So here I am in sunny San Diego, and I am walking down to the beach every day (about 2 miles each way). and I am taking some protein powder too. I have to look good when Bill arrives on Wednesday for our trips to Del Mar.

But now I have a new problem

hi Bill, who went with you to the Jets/Giants game? Here in San Diego it was a non-event. I have no idea of the score, the game, nothing. Not even on Ed's 800 channel Direct TV.
Who won? How was Favre?

Went with Margaret and two of her friends
Farve looked good
The Jets girls looked real good
Flight Crew
We had a nice time Margaret made sausage and peppers
and one of the other ladys brought a giant sub sandwich

They all drank I was the designated driver

stadium was full 50-50% giants -Jets fans

No problems Giants fans seem to be very happy they are the champs
so why bother the Jets fans
