Those who wish to emulate Tim Y, Tom Durkin is running guided tours of the hall of fame nearly every racing day morning. And those who play Saratoga, you can pick up a free copy of the Saratoga Special every day at the track and various places around town. Watch me make a fool of myself with my picks. You can also access it online.

Tim Y now your talking. Tom Durkin what a set of pipes! When my Dad was alive his brother ( my Uncle ) used to stay at the Gideon Putnam right down the street from the track at the spa . Play a quick round in early morning and of to track. What a experience. We would go up for Travers weekend ( Fri. -Sun. ). Pops would pay a year in advance n by Saturday he'd have the bill paid off. His brother n I never figured out how he did it. He was a statatcian and accountant by trade, number game for him handicapping .

ClockerDan · 07-20-2016, 05:54 AM

Charlie, here's hoping you're as profitably foolish there as in the Matchup Contest here

Dan, Haha! I'm sure you're right, though Del Mar can be a tough track. 'Some' winnings? - she gets it all!

Enjoy your time at the Spa. Even when I can't make it during the Summer, the past 2 years we have headed down there in September (usually on our way elsewhere), and always spend a day at the Roosevelt Spa. Last year had a great lunch at the Gideon Putnam before heading out hiking on the old rail-trail.
