10th at Woodbine - How I handicap

Folks - I just got back from the cottage about 20 minutes ago, and just did the 10th at Woodbine...... no bets - just how I play the race. I REALLY LIKE A RACE IN THE LAST 30 - 35 DAYS WITH SOME WORKS AT A 7 DAY INTERVAL. A great handicapper told me to think like an owner / trainer - it has helped:

1) The horse won at 10K Claiming, now a 40K race ?? / last race was 31 days ago with only 1 work since race. - First on the turf. Too many negatives for me -OUT

2) Last race was 36 days ago - 3 works since (I like consistent works). Race was 40K on the turf, just like today - IN

3) No Race in 440 days - enough said - OUT

4) No Race is 41 days - no consistent works - could not beat 20k Claimers at Wood - no thanks - OUT

5) Just won a MAIDEN 38 Days ago - no consistent works- I will pass - I never bet a Maiden Winner next time out .... they beat a bunch of losers - OUT.

6) Can't win at 10k - OUT

7) 5TH @ 4K at Fort Erie - enough said - OUT

8) Checked at turn last out - use second last race. Ran ok against 40k on turf last out. Not crazy about horse - IN

9) Last race 75 days ago - OUT

10) Last race 9 days ago???? - can't finish - Nick Webb (jockey) and Roger Laurin (trainer/owner) - OUT

I end up with 2 horses - 2 and 8.

2 wins and pays - $15.90

Look for VALUE, and look for OPPORTUNITIES!!!!!!!
