Anybody please do I always use a race where a horse won, for instants, example
last race 6 furlongs won race speed #89 2nd back same distance ran 3rd beaten 4 lengths speed rating 94, 3rd back ran 2nd 6furlongs beaten 6 lenghts speed rating 97? Is it the same in maiden races as well.?. Dale |

all the guys here have their own way that works for them.... to give you an example to your question: you could .... ...use last race ...use best Speed rating out of last 2...or last 3...or within 90 days ...use race where it was in the money ...use race where it was less than 4 lts behind I can go on and on...you get the picture?? mike

no problem...and YES it does take time.....like a friend always tell me .."Rome wasn't built in a day"
the Library is the best place to start with the basics on handicapping and it does get more advanced along the way... You need to start from scratch

I have found that DOCs guidelines of using the best of last 3 comparable to be what works best for me. Look in the Follow Up from issues 77 & up for examples.
The key is comparable. rmath |
