BRIS contest 12/10
Late notice, but......
There is a thread at PaceAdvantage about this - if you sign up and put your name on the PA poster list, you can get $100 if you beat all the other PA players, no matter where you finish in the real stands. Not a big bunch have signed so far,so the odds aren't too bad. http://www.paceadvantage.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=89792 Last edited by Ted Craven; 12-10-2011 at 05:10 AM. Reason: added link |

Welcome to Binder world the strange thinkings of a man
sitting in his truck and wondering about nothing I know about 5 people today who are going into contest like this. who have no plans on actually betting on any of the races So not only do less and less people go to the track or off site wager centers will contest like these that are done for free with free pp's ever hurt horse racing to any degree ? |

Hi Bill,
I always liked the free contests and I've done fairly well with them. They are very competitive. The data suppliers, the individual tracks, software people and contest promotion venues are having a party with them. I'm probably one of the 5 you mentioned that will participate in todays BRIS contest. Actually, I'm in 4 individual contests today which includes the NTRA TVG, Equibase, and PaceAdvantage Riders Cup contests. Tomorrow, I will participate in the NTRA free contest as well. I believe it gives the average guy a chance to compete and make a few bucks at no real expense other then the data sheets. You know what they say, "If you throw enough Sh_t against the wall, some might stick". ![]() In my opinion, horse racing is a dying industry and a poor economy is contributing to the demise of the pastime. Contests are promoting interest and keeping a dying industry alive. Free contests are the Stimulus of the horse racing enthusiast and keeps the sub-industries as mentioned above thriving. |
