Harness
Hi Jon,
I’ve owned and raced harness for year’s and still do. I handicap them well but seldom bet them anymore. Problem with harness is it’s very predictable and often boring single file racing - more so on half mile track racing. A big issue for the better is pool size which at most tracks is nil. You find a reasonable 10-1 play and make a decent wager, the odds tilt down way too much. Then there’s the juicy 5-1 overlay that settles at 2-1 within seconds to post way too often. Betting against one self in my opinion. In my view, the only tracks worth betting are the Meadowlands and Woodbine/Mohawk. Racing is an insiders game but in harness its on steroids so I avoid betting B level or lower tracks. Jim Last edited by Belmont123; 06-01-2024 at 12:09 PM. |
