New Pace Numbers Breakdown

How do I get to the screen that shows the breakdown of how the New Pace numbers were arived at, C1Pts. and etc. or are you not showing this any longer.

Also, have there been any updates to new pace lately you are aware of.

Just revisiting the numbers.

He stooped showing those numbers when RDSS2 started, You do need those numbers to apply the adv New pace info so I wish they where still there, To Ted's credit I do think he only removed them because, to some people so many numbers was confusing. maybe if enough people ask for it he can add it again. and as for anything new nothing has been added.

I think one problem is there has not been any new post on the New pace forum for a long time so maybe if interest starts up that will help

Indeed the numbers are still there, behind the scenes - it makes for a simpler screen. Meanwhile, as you requested Giahorse, but I forgot to mention, the underlying NP data IS now available in an Excel file in the Cache. NP stuff is in Columns BZ - CK. Just open the Cache, drill down to the race folder and look for a file named thus (e.g. for HAW 0427 Race 9): HAW_20130427_09_NP.xls

So for, that race, the full path is: C:\Rdss2\Data\Cache\2013\HAW\20130427\09\HAW_20130427_09_NP.xls

I could modify the NP section to make a separate underlying screen displaying the gory details. Perhaps when I update NewPace sometime this year to the second, Advanced version.

Sounds good, I still like to see how the numbers come out and what'd different with the new advanced version, just curious some the changes you see coming.

Giahorse thanks for the feeback, I was just following new pace yesterday and it picked some very nice longshots with a bit of handicapping added in.

I did study the Advanced NewPace video seminar of Dave's when it was published and have since forgotten most of it - LOL! I keep an eye on the original NP numbers as I go about my handicapping, but I can't say I make many critical decisions from it.

Others have said they find the Advanced version to be superior to the Original, and that may surely be. For me, the usefulness of the Original version (as implemented in RDSS) has been along the lines of:

- a reminder to check these 4 horses to see if they warrant a 2nd or 3rd looks by other RDSS analysis, and

- re the #1 Early NP horse: if it is CLEARLY outgunned in a more detailed Early Matchup analysis, or if it is an E or EP whose F1 is clearly inferior - then the 4 NP horses become 3 NP horses, at least in the Win pool, and this makes exploiting those numbers in Exactas a bit cheaper.

FWIW, and your mileage may vary
