The Best
Richie:
Since 1992 I was using Synergism II. The big issue for me was the programs ability to produce FPS ratings related to the pace line(s) imput. There were occasions where entering seven horses and removing the higher ranked ones of which if one had a printer, the information could be carried paper wise to the track. remember iin the 90's Laptop computers were either too expensive or too heavy to tote to the track. Interestingly, I never used Synergism to handicap a whole race card. Maybe 4 or 5 races of a 9 race card program. It seemed more accurate handicapping races other than maidens and races where horses had more than one running line. Even today when I use the updated versions of Validator or Speculator, I don't use the software to handicap every race on the card. Common sense handicapping for me allows me to either select a the horse I consider to be the winner or sense to realize the race is not bettable and to pass. Energy provides information valuable as well, but it is my belief that these programs should be laid o rest with the newer programs that provide more detail utilizing SP and TR. My opinion, Dap |
