pick 3
3 horses per race. $1 ticket.= $29.00 ticket
A w/ A w/A $2

A w/ abc w/ abc $9
abc w/ A w/ abc $9
abc w/ abc w/ A $9

thats how i play it here in new orleans at the FG fri
ps dick mitchel has a method which deals w/ more combinations, money,
and overlays. a little more complex.

here's another

I don't play p3's and 4's too often, but found this online and had success with it.

tix #1 = a / abc / abc = $9
tix #2 = abc / a / abd = $9
tix #3 = abd / abd / a = $9

a = key horse

for the cost of a 3x3x3 ticket ($27) you get 4 horses in each leg and if your key wins each race you cash 3 tickets. I understand all legs aren't completely covered in regards to the c and d horse, but they are usually my dark horse longshots or what if horse.

I really like this approach, makes good logical sense, and for a minor price too, and allowing for the big price horse to come in , not once but twice for a possible huge payout, very nice indeed.

Hey Patrick!

Good to hear from you! How's it going out on the roads? You now have a horse-playing colleague out there: our own Bill Varone. Driving a rig, somewhere in South Florida right about now.

Anyway, hope you are well, healthy and enjoying life.

yours,

Ted

i really think the pick 4 could be the same as the p3 BUT, one might use 2 horses in one or two races. same style though abc/abc/a....etc
