Holiday seasonal closings...

I'm usually a one-track handicapper. AQU shuts down after December 13, not to reopen until December 26.

So, of the tracks remaining open, which are preferable among you folks out there? I'm not crazy about bottom-level claimers, I'm looking for a track within the upper tiers, such as Calder, Laurel, Hialeah...

It's all because of the Trackmaster billing cycle and my using the 20 cards per month plan that it seems that I may as well look at another track rather than just pay the monthly fee and not get "full value" for it. I may not even wager, but it could be an educational exercise during the down period for AQU.

Thanks in advance.

Is it on our NYC cable Mike? I realized later that should be part of it.

You play Philly Park now and then, don't you? I was thinking of trying that one.

Poly/ Turfway

Hi Charles
Would you consider Turfway? They run nights 5:30 Wed-Fri then days on the weekends.
Not sure if these race types are on your radar or are a bit cheap but here are the last 3 cards plus today's (Sunday).

Also not sure if they are on your cable feed but this track is the one I would suggest strongly if the race class stuff isn't too cheap for ya!

**Anecdotal feedback - Barb C was busy most of the day with other stuff but got in bets on Turfways 9-10-11 Saturday. She hit both the win and exacta payoffs on 9th and 10th(winner in 10th was 5/2 when she bet) then lost the 11th win and exacta**

I see some "valid" races there. I don't like to go below 16K on my own circuit, and I see there are enough opportunities at Turfway.

I'll have to see if they're broadcast here. I believe I've seen them on a monitor when I've been in pubs.

Philly is a tough track...Tampa was good to me last year.. Turfway looks promising too..

I just got FIOS and I now have TVG and HRTV...TVG shows TAMPA(sometimes) ..but I have no Idea how HRTV is...

BUT is you have a twinspires.com a/c you can watch the live feed from any track in the country except your home state( like us its AQU)..

have fun

mike

I have Time Warner cable and when AQU is on Channel 71, there are a bunch of other tracks on channel another channel. Sometimes there seems to be four or five covered at once on that channel, leading to partial coverage of races when they overlap.

Fair Grounds

You might also check out FG as the rank about the same level as TP. They also have truf racing if that's your cup of gumbo!
