TVG is covering races 1, 2 and 5-10 on Wednesday night and has Evangeline listed for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, but they don't list which races they are showing yet.

Evangeline doesn't run on Sunday's.

Spring is finally here. I pulled the ham hocks for the red beans and rice out of the freezer last night and just pulled the card this morning. Ten races on dirt with only three maidens. I'm trying real hard to focus on RDSS, but I believe I'll have to dust off Validator for this one.

I mostly play higher class tracks now, looking for price horses in big fields, however, I grew up playing small tracks Charles Town and Shenandoah Downs, so I can probably adapt.

Hard to say about the bit of Cajun. I come from a long line of people who didn't talk much about where they came from. My mother got into geneology a few years back and ran into a bunch of dead ends on my father's side of the family a few generations back.

Evangeline does get the juices flowing though. For a small time track, it represents the starting point for such names as Delahoussaye. Desormeaux, Guidry, Bourque, Lanarie, LeBlanc, Sellers and Albarado. John Henry won his 1st big 2yo stakes there too.
