When betting, never fall in love with a horse - Pace and Cap

Once a very good one starts to show "cracks" in their abilities, seems that people tend to want to harken back to how the horse WAS not how the horse IS today. In AQU's third today I believe Papua was the receipt of that distinction as NONE of it's current races put this one close. The winner Meniscus had three lines (1,3,6) that put him in the driver's seat as the result shows.

3rd race - Aqueduct - March 15, 2007

5 Mr. Malaprop 5.60 4.10
3 Papua 3.60

$2 Exacta 2-5 65.50

HINT: Always remember that we bet the horses as they are TODAY, not in some good, but outdated races.

4th race - Aqueduct - March 15, 2007

7 Officer One 17.60 7.60 4.70
3 Res Ipsa 3.90 2.50
4 Paving the Way 3.50

In a race dominated by deep closers, one of the ONLY horses with a positive e/l goes off to win after a dodderingly slow pace.........Those closers just are too far back all the time for these presser types PARTICULARLY on inner Aqueuduct.
