screenshots for Gpx 10th race
These are the horses selected from the non-contenders thread as the
true contenders after eliminations. 2-3-5-7-9-10 ae they appear in spec 160 and the workhorse "fair odds" let's see what goes down. |

GP Race 2/18
Bob,
I use Workhorse, but do not have Speculator. My read out for Workhorse was 10 7 8 Did you just eliminate the 8 and not use it. The percentages were 9 5 3 53% in the win column and a positive roi, and 60% in the show 2 column with a positive roi. Why did you leave the 3 out of your Spec readout? any help you can give me to refine my handicapping with workhorse will be greatly appreciated. Thank you |

Hi Shrink.
If you will go to the non-contenders thread, you will see how i broke the race down before putting the horses into the software. After elimination of non-contenders, 2,3,5,7,9,and 10 were the remaining horses. Evidently, the line i used for # 3 did'nt give it winning numbers as far as i was concerned. I did remark about the race on the non-contender thread. check it out

GP race 10
Bob,
Thanks for your help. When you select your contenders do you just take the top5 or 6 Podds horses and go from there?? Do you also run them through speculator, and do the match up? Thanks again for your help. Shrink |

It depends on the size of the field. If there are 7 or less horses in the race i will use the "fair odds" horses in PODDS (all 10-1 or less) for the match up and computer input. I only used Spec for the non-contender example.
If you noticed, there were 12 horses in the example race. I don't enter large fields into my software because of the confusion it creates. I attempt to trim the field as much as possible, then use the computer. |
