Cool brisnet's multicaps program

I've been using the old multicaps program for a long time now-with success- however I still have some bugs with it . My version won't change surfaces. I need the fix or patch for the program, which is not supported by brisnet anymore. Can anyone out there in horseland help me with this?

Omar, I don't understand when you say it won't change surfaces...I use multi caps but I only use it to get my special past performances that include the DRF SR-VAR...but I don't use the multi caps pace program because it was one of those old programs pirated from some of DOC SARTIN'S older programs...and it isn't near as accurate as RDSS. Send me an explanation on this surface change thing and I'll try to help...when I used Multi Caps in 2009, before I started with RDSS, I never ran into a problem with surfaces..

multicaps

I use the program because it a) calculates an odds line for the various screens and b) i'm able to check various handicapping data using the factors screen; c) only costs me 59.95/mo unlimited files. When i click on tools at the top of the program and go down to change surface and hit save, it does'nt work for me. By the way, i used to use synergism and deceleration pars, programs my late friend wrote in tandy basic, but for me too much punching in if i wanted to keep a sartin handicapping model. Multicaps gives me tha info with a click of the mouse,if i really want it.I separate my contenders with TPR. Don't get this program mixed up with procaps from tsn. Same program, sreens, etc., but the file language not compatible with multcaps. When brisnet shutdown tsn i cried. One of the main reasons i stopped using sartin was that his programs became too specialized and too expensive. Besides, most people who use sartin pick their pacelines based on their model and i don't agree with that pceline selection method.

Hi Omar..just read your response and I'm thinking that maybe there is a problem within your computer ???? not sure. Since this is a bris program you can call bris tech support and they will gladly help you over the phone. Their number is on the web site. You mentioned that you stopped using Sartin programs because of expense and being to specialized...not sure what you mean by specialized...but as far as expense goes..I don't think that it is expensive at all considering the valuable info that you get from it, and if you have ever owned a business(as I have) the old saying is still true...IT TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. Speaking of models...Tom Brohammer wrote in his book "Modern Pace Handicapping" 1991, pages 177-180 about how to construct models and what type of races to use...then shortly after that Doc Sartin mentioned in one of the F.U.'s that modeling/profiling was no longer valad when using programs of todays Sartin Methodology. I'll admit I still model some, but not all of the tracks that I wager on. I do that because that is what works for me...over time. One more thing on Multi Caps...I used it in 2009 and then bought a new computer and switched to RDSS. Multi Caps is a program used by one of my best friends who I have gone to the track for 25 years...but he just bets as a hobby and does ok with it...except for real cheap races...he gets hammered...works better with more consistant horses. Personally I'm making $$$$$$ with RDSS and it easily covers my down loading expenses. Hope I have been helpful...Best, Randy A.

multicaps

brisnet does,nt support program anymore.Maybe your friend still has one of the fix files for the program or maybe he can email his setup file if he still has it and i'll try loading his version.I tried loading mine several times but it has bugs in it and does'nt load all the way. It stops and then finishes. If your friend wants i could show him how to setup the default configuration screen -my way. I can even explain to him how i pick my pacelines also, then ask him how the mc progam is doing for him. By the way, what i meant by specialized is this: ep sp lp fx ap was good enough for me.his later programs have too many screens-overkill. When my late friend, fred hahn first introd me to sartin in the late 80's i was intruigued but a non believer. a few minutes to posttime at belmont i gave him my two $2 tickets on some 40-1 shot and he gave me my $4 back that he told me to play. a few minutes later the horsey won and paid $83.00 and freddy did'nt even buy me a hotdog and soda, after that we must've hit the next 4-5 races.Even Ragozin was watching us and did'nt know what we were using.you see freddy saw sartins example in the best of thorobred hcping, worked backwards to come up with his formula and then wrote a small program for it,plugged in his #'s from ex. and came up with the same answers. He even wrote a program for the trotters using sartin while we were at the meadowlands one cold breeders cup nite in 1986.he handicapped and i went on line to place the bets for him and he hit for over $500. he asked me if i played for myself and i replied that i don't play the trotters because theyre too chalky. he called me an idiot and to this day i think he was right, but i still don't play the trotters. later, omar. oh by the way my real name aint omar.freddy stuck me with that name because i told him i needed a pair of pants and he told me to see omar the tentmaker because of my big size.so today everyone at the track calls me omar.

multi caps

He doesn't have any old program files...he is using the current multi caps program that Bris has now...the one that you can download on the BrisNet homepage...its gives you pp"s and a pace program probably similar to what you are using now...you would have to talk to Bris tech support on how to download into your computer..

Hi Omar

Its nice to hear from you again
Its me Binder I miss our late friend Freddy, Sadly when I knew him
and listened to his race knowledge I never understood it.
He left us way too soon
Do you still hang out at the old table upstairs at the Meadowlands ?
are any of our old troops still around ?
The beard, Joe hat, Grey hair John ?
I agree, might find RDSS fits your needs

greetings and salutations

I have'nt been walking too good the last couple of yrs.,need hip replacement.will see dr. at end of mar or early apr.,so i've just been betting from home.I hear john goes to med. once in awhile, but he doesn't call me.I saw him 2yrs ago at med. beta testing the new multicaps prgm. The last time i went to track was woodbridge on preakness day.last yr. i'll probably bet the derby from home if not in hosp/nursing home.I bet Revolutionary & Normandy Invasion in 1st pool and something Fun and Executive Privilege in the oaks pool.I don't need rdss, i'm good.By the way, Nat is moving to Whiting ,NJ on 3/21/13.I still want to move to Vegas once i'm cleared. As we get closer to the derby email me and i'll let you know who i'm playing.Today I like Bullet Baby in the 5th at GP, Call Dela Casa in the 7th at OP and Take Heed in the 4th at Tam. Later.
