B/L Question
To the group:
I have been long on betting the top 2 B/L. Just curious, does anyone go beyond that? Are there any records of races where the 3rd B/L wins? Thanks, JDL |

Sorry but I hit the submit by mistake before I completed the post.
Actually the stats I have are not on the Bl/Bl...sorry. You can compile your own stats from your records. But IMO you are being too restrictive on going with the top 2 Bl/BL. You are missing profitable opportunities. I recommend going out further to the 3rd and 4th level Bl/BL. I find that horses from this level can pay high mutuals. In addition check the posts on the Binder Improvement which gets horses from the 4th and 5th BL/BL when the V/DC = 1 or 2. Hope this helps, Ernie |

Good morning Mr. PagelineI don't keep stats on this either, but I have a book that I record my working of races in and I just looked back over the past week. Here are some races I won by going lower than the top 2 BL. I go lower if the prices are good after I have compared the BL readouts with the velocity, and energy screens and now the new EL/2.0. 05/06 Kentucky Oaks tier 3 win #12 for 14.60 05/07 CD race 9 tier 4 win #1 for 28.60 exact with tier 1 #3 for 144.20 05/13 EVD race 4 tier 3 win #6 for 10.00 05/14 CD race 7 tier 3 win #3 for 9.40, exacta with tier 4 #5 for 87.20 EVD race 9 win #6 for 29.60, exacta with tier 5 #1 for 158.80 05/15 CD race 9 exacta tiers 4 and 3 # 9 and 6 for 59.00 I would say yes, you should be looking at more than tiers 1 and 2. IMHO I hope this helps some.
