%Med Info
I received a PM asking how I use the %med in my capping. First I maintain a model for each dist and surface at each track I play. Today at Pax the 8th race was a 6f sprint. Based on my contender & paceline selection the % med range for the winner is 67.4 to 70,0. Here is a screen shot ot the winner and an explanation of what I look for.
After I chose my paceline I look at the bottom screen and look at the %meds of each of the horses races. In this case [ note that on Dec 10 L6 the %med was 70.1[too high] and on OCT 22 & Oct 1 both rts the %meds were 67.3 & 67.2[ both too low. To downgrade a horse I require that 3 or more lines are either too high or too low the horse barely survives[2 races too low] however on my form I mark an note AL too remind me it is at the border line of late. Had it had 1 more low %med I mark the horse TL for too late to win. Hope this helps. Tim

Tim If anyone has wondered how it is that you are able to get more profitable plays than anyone else in the group day in and day out. This little TECH TALK is a great example. Keeping models and applying them in each and every race you work equals more success.
Thank you for this. Darryl |

You are welcome Darryl. It doesn't take much to do this work. Granted I only play 1 trk a day so it is much easier to do. However all players should know the trks they play the most. I can still hear Doc scolding us 'Know Your Track[s]'

Hi,
The new guy here. I was just wondering if you use your own modeling form or the Excel modeling form supplied by RDSS. The reason I ask is that I am having trouble installing the filters supplied. I keep getting a "circular reference" error and the form locks up. For the time being I am only going to do Parx. Cedric |

Tim,
From all the analysis that you post on this forum, your system seems better than a computer. My organizational skills are terrible, so I have to figure out how to fix the spread sheet. Thanks for the reply and the information on the 3 Factor system. |

. I invite you to send me that sheet by email (please put within a ZIP file first), along with some instructions how and where in the sheet to see that error. I will help you get it working normally.
