Racetracks
This is just a casual kind of thread I want to start to ask all of you, what is your favorite track to play?
Ive always loved the New York tracks except on days with lots of young maiden races, or days when It pours down rain. Ive really ben focused on just Saratoga usually, and after working some races from FInger Lakes with my mentor ive realize, I need to spread my play in order to achieve the success I am striving for. So, whats your favorite track to play, and which one would you most recommend for me to start taking seriously with my models and wagering. |

I've found that I have to look at several tracks, given as you say that there are a lot of short fields, 2 year olds and maidens. I know a lot will disagree, but I look at Arlington, Finger Lakes, Parx, for the moment Saratoga, Delaware and Suffolk if I'm playing during the day, and Presquile and Indiana if at night. I don't do any race that has less than a field of 8, nor maidens unless there are three or more lines for everyone and I don't do Turf, so I often have to look at a number of racks to find one of two races that are playable under my criteria. In these days of low odds, you are able to pick up some nice prices at all of these tracks. If you play a track you should start a model for it. IMHO.

Good point Barb on starting a model for tracks you play. I also will play Churchill,Gulfstream and Suffolk in addition to trks listed above.

Barb thank you for you input. Yes I agree with you when you say you should model, I am a FIRM believer in the model. Its really what I rely on the most. I have a model right now for Saratoga and when I realized I nee to spread my plays more I began to try to think of a track that I would enjoy playing but also has good quality. That's why I came to the site and asked everyone, I wanted to know what everyone else has found to be a good thing.
One question I want to ask, no one has mentioned Calder nor Ellis park. Does anyone have an opinion on either of these tracks |

You can play these tracks blindly if you want, but as I said IMHO you need to find out what's working at each track. When we used to get all the information in RDSS1, I not only had a model for each track, but also for each distance and surface at those tracks. When Ted gets that up and running in RDSS2, I'll start that again. Right now I find it's too time consuming to do more than put the figures in for each track although I feel it's not as accurate.
