MTH - 07-31-11 (Haskell Day)

MTH - 07-31-11 (Haskell Day) offers a very challenging card if your into handicapping it.
I did races 5 through 12 for the Equibase Monmouth Challenge contest and was impressed with the quality of the horses for these races.
Not withstanding, these are very tough races to split and come up with the eventual winners.

Please feel free to offer all opinions for any of these races.
I would also be interested in seeing the VD/C read-outs and the E/L ratings for these races (R5 Through R12) from anyone wishing to post them.

I'm also still alive in the MTH Survival Challenge and used races 10, 11 and 12 for it.

Thanks Bill,

I will look forward to it,

I just blew the 4th race at today's Monmouth.
I had it between Red Planet and Back Pocket 2nd and as you can imagine, I picked the wrong horse. My second choice won and paid $23.00. Oh well, s__t happens.

Made it

Hi Bill

I made it. My contest horses in the last two races showed so I made my goal
Im still alive on Haskel day
This is why this Mth contest is harder than it looks
I took Red Planet too
My top 3 VDC horses were 3 12 and 4
I put in my picks at 2 am
the morning line for my horses
3 = 7/2
4 = 3/1
12 = 6/1

I used the 12 which went off at 3/1
the 4 placed

Putting in the bets blind with no acess to edit picks on the road is tough
On Friday I thought Joe Bravo in the last contest race
was a lock on the 11 horse on the turf
so I took wild stabs in the first two contest races
looking for prices as im still way behind with only $320
well neither of the prices did anything The horse
I was banking on, the 11 was scratched
so I lost my lifeline
Maybe soon I can wait for scratches and track condition
but flying with out a net is fun too

GS
Bill
