A Generality with the sartin methodology?
I know this is probably a broad statement but I’ll throw it out there.. Is it the assumption of the Sartin Methodology that:
a) Every trainer sending their horse out today is sending him out there to run his best race and try to win, and b) Every jockey is going to give their mount the optimal ride everytime out |

Not really
Except on the grass, I don't pay attention to jocks, and never to trainers. Re turf, some are clearly better than others, so I only check whether the jock's in the former group, which could include as many as four or five in one race. I don't break it down any further than that, and I don't look at stats.

The sartin methodology makes no assumptions as to trainer or jockey intent, unless gangsters have kidnapped the trainers dog in which case it's probably wise to pass the race.
