Mnr Route and the 1st Fraction
Here is an interesting race tonight at the Mountain.
Judging by the earlies (#2 and #3) it looks like the first FRACTION runs in under 24.0 Note the following lines (use ALL pps which offsets wild variants): #2: line 3 = 23.2 (fifths) line 8 = 23.3 (fifths) #3: line 6 = 23.3 (fifths) line 7 = 23.4 (fifths) line 8 = 23.3 (fifths) The above are from 3 DIFFERENT tracks ![]() This "look" at the early bucks shows that contenders for WIN be able to compete against sub 24.0 first fraction best of luck Conditions and entries:

thxs Rich for putting this up...
now your gonna get bombed by me with questions, I cant match routes for crap I usually cap them with RDSS..but I want to do it myself ...so please help.. First....in reading The match-Up book #1..the only one I have..The Hat always used a current line to match up horses...correct? He'd find the pace horse and then matched up all the others...he also used final time too..which you really dont...am I wrong? Second...if you do open the whole PP on this race....line #8 on the 6 horse should blow these away...but he never did those fraction afterward s...Whats your take? so far this is it.. ![]() thxs Mike

Match the race exactly like if it was one of your 6f races ok? Use YOUR procedure that is giving good results. I can't help regarding Hat's first book. I am only familiar/conversant in 2 matching areas: 1) 5 Step Approach 2) Mind's Eye Approach BOTH of those unique ways can be found and followed with extensive postings in "Hat Check" Forum One of the key questions right out of the box is this I.M.H.O: Assuming the race remains intact and free from scratches how will the race be WON Early (#2 or #3) Other than Early (All others again imo) Once you have answered that to YOUR satisfaction throw the "other side" out of your mind and get to work matching your guys If you can't answer that simple and important first question right away my strongest suggestion is to PASS right away. This post is for ALL matchers to consider please.

Ok Rich...understood what your saying...I really want this!!!
here we go... race will be OTE 2 & 3 earlies....I thought the last 2 sprint races for the #2 were fast but when applying the 6.2 rule for each 1/2 furlong those 105.5 becomes 142.4 or around there for a mile..and other horses ran faster... with the #3...the track variant on line 2 & 3 were very slow, so looking down the PP I see normal races and he runs a 47+ 48+ but needs open lengths to win, so no advantage for him either... both OUT!! now tandem horses 4 & 6 out...lost to others and horses that were eliminated already.. left with 1 - 5 - 7 will be back for this...gotta go to Dr...would u believe i got pinkeye from handling all the luggage from the people coming to my hotel..damn ![]() mike

Mike:
Not to argue, but 6 and 2/5ths or 6.4 seconds per 1/2 furlong from a 5.5 to a mile is 5 half miles: 5 x 6.4 = 32 seconds + 1:05.5 = 137.5 not 142! I think the rest of your analysis is okay. Bill |
